    1. Humor after 50, it is always special when we make this particular chicken recipe. This was my dad's chicken and he only ever made it Memorial Day weekend and usually for the family reunions for the 4th of July. Since he died, my husband makes it occasionally and the extended family doesn't feel the need to get together any more. My husband has it down to an art form. The pictures were taken towards the end of last October, so that is why we are bundled up a bit. He did make it on Memorial Day, but I didn't take pictures then, I just ate it. LOL Thank you for stopping by to check out my photos and for your comments!

    1. Winnie, it is always an occasion when we make this chicken and something the whole family looks forward too. BBQ season is upon us and this summer I realized I didn't have to wait 3 weeks until my husband gets home...I have figured out how to use the grill myself!!! YAY! Thank you for stopping by to check out my photos and for your comments!

    1. Lee, when my dad used to make this chicken he would use these special grills he made out of barrels and literally cover them with chicken. The chicken would sit on the grill and when it was time to turn it, it took two people. We would put another screen on top, hold the two together and turn on three. If you didn't cross your hands the right way, the chicken ended up on the ground. I have had that happen once when my dad and I did it! Then we would dob the chicken with the sauce. I miss those times with my Dad, but am thankful my husband has his chicken down to a science. Thank you for stopping by to check out my pictures!!!

  9. Wow! That looks good, and I'm hungry. I wish the nurse would bring me breakfast. I'm in the hospital right now after my surgery, but I'm headed home today. Feeling a lot better.
